Activision’s most successful game series, Call of Duty, was expanded a couple of years ago with a battle royale variant called Warzone, which, like its competitor Fortnite, uses a freemium model.
The game has been around for two years on PCs and game consoles, but now Activision announces that a mobile version is under development.
Judging by the lack of screenshots and that the company is looking for more developers for the project, there is a long way to go before launch. Activision has also not been particularly generous with details and does not mention, for example, whether it will be possible to play against PC and console players, writes The Verge.
Warzone is not the only battle royle game that is on its way to Android and iOS. Both Valorant from Riot Games and EA’s Battlefield have mobile versions under development.
