Call of Duty Warzone Mobile Confirmed For Job Offers

While rumors about the development of Warzone for mobile devices may have abated in recent months, new job openings from Activision-Blizzard apparently confirm the development of the Mobile version game.

Warzone has been a huge success for Activision since its launch on console and PC in March 2019, but the publisher has never discussed the potential of the game on mobile devices. With Call of Duty Mobile reaching hundreds of millions of downloads, and other Battle Royale games like Fortnite embracing the mobile market, it was always debated whether Warzone would make the leap.

New Activision-Blizzard LinkedIn posts and subsequent job postings have reinforced the idea that Warzone is coming to iOS / Android.

¿Warzone Mobile confirmado?

Activision-Blizzard posted a call to arms for mobile device developers on LinkedIn as they look to expand their task force to add more roles within the Call of Duty mobile division. The publication in it does have some interesting notes:

“Activision Mobile has created new jobs! The teams focus on live operations and content expansion on CoD Mobile and Warzone. Our development teams are dedicated to mobile devices and are comprised of all major disciplines.

It appears that they are hiring new faces to help produce a mobile version of Warzone on iOS / Android, and this is not the only clue Activision-Blizzard has released regarding the development of the game.

In September 2020, they published a job listing for the ‘Mobile-Executive Producer’ role, the person hired for this role would lead the integration of Warzone’s core mechanics on mobile devices. While Activision-Blizzard hasn’t directly announced that they are developing Warzone for mobile devices, it appears that they are trying to put together the right staff to make this possible.

More job offers

Activision-Blizzard has not only released the LinkedIn post of May 3, but has also quietly added more than 50 new roles in its mobile department in its job offers page.
