November 16 marks the start of the new Call of Duty: Warzone, better known as Warzone 2.0. With that, the servers for the original Warzone take a well-deserved break, but they won’t stay away for long.
As Activision says a new blog post Namely, Warzone shouldn’t be shut down even if Warzone 2.0 takes over. The game will instead be renamed Warzone Caldera, with a relaunch date set for November 28th.
The old battle royale experience will remain a separate thing and will have no connection with Warzone 2.0 or Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II. According to Activision, this distinction is something fans have been asking for. Furthermore, it became necessary due to technical limitations.
Warzone 2.0 and DMZ mode
War zone 2.0 introduces the new Al Mazrah map, where 150 players will fight once again to become the king of the bunch. In addition to the map, other changes also await, such as the ability to swim and a separate third-person mode.
In addition to the battle royale part, Warzone 2.0 also gets what Activision calls DMZ, a separate mode inspired by Escape from Tarkov. Here, players must collect weapons and other equipment in a world filled with computerized stamina and other players. When the harvesting work is done, you have to go out in one piece, so that you can use the equipment for the next hike.
Warzone 2.0 available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X / S.
