“Call of Duty: Warzone” reached over 15 million players in a few days. That is impressive.
“Call of Duty: Warzone”, the battle royale mode that takes place in the universe of “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare”, was able to register more than six million players after only 24 hours. A few hours ago, Activision confirmed that there are now over 15 million players. Over the weekend, this number is likely to rise sharply again.
Since the launch of “Call of Duty: Warzone”, “Trios” on PC, Playstation 4 and Xbox One can be played in two game modes: “Battle Royale” and “Plunder” (including cross-play and cross-progression ). In “Battle Royale” you fight in a rapidly closing circle with up to 150 players to survive as the last squad and escape the deadly gas. Plunder is about collecting the most money by looting the map, taking out opponents to steal their money, and making contracts.
“Warzone” takes place in Verdansk, an extensive city with several zones and well over 300 “points of interest”. Each zone is equipped with different landmarks such as the Gorengard sawmill or the Gora dam. The zones span different types of surroundings such as cities and rural areas. “Warzone has some unique mechanics that keep every game interesting and give you a lot of strategies that you can use to have a new experience every time you come over,” it says. Various vehicles are also available.
