Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 beta already full of cheaters

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has been in testing for about a week and PC is one of the platforms available as part of the beta. And, since that’s hardly surprising, the cheaters have already invaded the game.

In turn, this is pushing console gamers to disable cross-platform play to avoid matches with PC opponents. And Infinity Ward is already taking steps to ban wrongdoers.

Cheaters now use wall hacks to detect enemies behind walls, as well as aiming robots to shoot accurately and quickly.

In social networks you can already find dozens of videos showing the activity of cheaters. All this despite the Ricochet anti-cheat software that Activision is so proud of. This solution was introduced in Warzone and Vanguard, analyzing player activity on the server side and using a local kernel driver for protection.

Less than two weeks ago, Activision insisted that the new version of Ricochet for Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0 works even better.

Unfortunately, there is no such thing as perfect protection, and in the near future, developers will have to look for new ways to protect games from infection.
