‘Call of Duty’ games will have a creative way to ‘punish’ cheaters

A Activision seems to be finding more and more creative ways to punish players who use cheating to gain an advantage in online matches in games in the ‘Call of Duty’ series.

How does the Eurogamer, the producer decided to implement in ‘Call of Duty: Vanguard’ a mechanism called “Cloaking” in the anti-cheating system – which prevents cheaters from seeing and hearing their opponents (and even their bullets) in matches online. The goal is to make players frustrated enough to force them to leave the game.

While it’s not a perfect mechanism – since the system must be able to detect cheats and assume the player doesn’t have a way to automatically detect enemies – it should still discourage the use of some cheats.
