Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War – Preliminary Conclusion – Preview

New maps, some new game modes, and above all recognizable gameplay. Despite the presence of a game mode in which vehicles play a greater role, that recognizable gameplay is somewhat predominant. The dynamics of a game of Call of Duty change little. Of course, the modern weapons of the latest games are making way for older weapons from the Cold War era, and the same goes for Scorestreaks. But it doesn’t matter if it’s an uav or a spy plane, the function is the same. With the same types of weapons, perks, and items that have always been around, Black Ops: Cold War offers mostly recognizable gameplay. Novelties come in the form of where you play and what you play, but not how you play. Whether that is good or bad depends on your own preference. It is not without reason that millions of players buy every new Call of Duty every year. In that sense, Treyarch mainly makes the multiplayer mode that the studio knows that the target group will walk away with. Those hoping for more change can therefore very likely give up that hope when it comes to traditional multiplayer. It does seem clear that traditional multiplayer will be solid as ever, without surprising too much.
