Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War is official, and will be inspired by real events

Call of Duty It has been one of the most important games in recent months after Activision decided to launch its Battle Royale with Warzone, quickly becoming one of the most successful Battle Royale in recent years and competing directly against Fortnite, as the Activision game boasts already of 75 million downloads.

And although the developers are very involved in developing new seasons for Warzone, this does not mean that they are not working on a new Call of Duty title, and after many rumors and some leaks the company has published a video where it has done the name of the next installment, which will be Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War.

A game inspired by real events

For this new installment the developers promise 2 things: that it will be a game inspired by real events (the Cold War between the United States and Russia); and that it will be connected to Warzone, although we still do not have the details of how Warzone connects to the new Call of Duty, however, several days ago players could complete an ARG in Warzone that involved codes in the style of the Cold War , which led to rooms with secret weapons on the map.

On the other hand, the description of the video on YouTube is named after Verdansk, which is the main map of Warzone.

In the video posted on YouTube we can see the real speech of a KGB deserter (which was the equivalent of the CIA but from the USSR) where he warns about the dangers of nuclear war with the USSR.

The video ends with the phrase “Know your story or you will be condemned to repeat it.”

When will the game be shown?

For now there are many questions to be solved, one of them is How will the game look?, Which will be answered next Tuesday, August 26, at which time the game will be revealed, and where we hope to know the details of its launch and also if there will be an improved version for the new generation of consoles.
