The Treyarch presentation was opened with a strong trailer for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, which, however, only announced the upcoming attractions. The creators talked about the game, and at the same time the embargo on the publication of materials from the title was dropped. Check out tons of gameplay in the new Call of Duty.
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Beta Launches October 8 but at the beginning only players on PlayStation 4 will be able to see the game. Those interested in Xbox One and PC will not jump on the servers until October 15th.

The biggest change to the online mode of the new Call of Duty are the changes to the scorestreaks. Now death doesn’t reset the timer so players will get a chance to collect the necessary points to summon reinforcements or get new weapons. Scorestreaks will include “favorite sets”, but also completely new toys.
Developers also confirmed that Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War is the first installment of the series that will provide cross-platform and cross-generation duels. Regardless of the chosen equipment (PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One, PC), those interested will meet on one server.
Theater Mode will also return to Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War, allowing players to record and watch replays of all matches. The feature will be available on various platforms. The upcoming Call of Duty will also include a “standard mini-map”, thanks to which we will see a red dot in the corner of the screen when the opponent is shooting in our area. At the same time, the developers did not give up on the compass.

Among the interesting novelties, you can distinguish the VIP mode. These are six-on-six clashes in which one team defends a target and the other must attack. The creators have disabled scorestreaks for players who are not VIPs – only one player from the “attack” can use the support. However, the character has a non-standard set (pistol, smoke grant, grenade and “Spy Plane” scorestreak). In this variant of the game we will also find the Last Stand function, thanks to which we will have a chance to revive our brothers in arms.
Treyarch also revealed Fireteam – this is a special mode in which up to 40 players can appear on one map (10 teams of four). During the game, those interested will not only fight each other, but also check a number of missions.
