The evidence procedure then came with a surprise. A well-known acquaintance of the accused who was invited as a witness – the two have a “dog and gymnastics friendship”, as the 56-year-old woman explained – admitted that she wrote the letters at the request and in the presence of the accused. She had also been paid for this and had collected 100 euros per letter.
“She asked me for help,” the witness said. She agreed to it “because I didn’t recognize the extent. I have made a mistake”.

According to the 56-year-old, whom the accused followed with a petrified expression, the letters were made in an internet cafe. She typed it because the accused was unsure of the spelling: “She didn’t want to do it. I was only used in my good-natured way. Because I am a fool, I did it. “
When asked by the judge why she was now revealing, the 56-year-old replied: “I have not been able to sleep since then. I can not concentrate anymore. In the end, the judge had no doubt about the perpetrators of the accused who, after witnessing her friend, claimed that she conspired against her “with the others” and said the untruth. “You are clearly guilty,” decided the judge of the 70-year-old and called her approach “humanly reprehensible”. The defense lawyer immediately appealed against the conviction.
