In the framework of Mother’s Day and in the recovery of services due to the health emergency, the Mexican Institute of Social Security (IMSS) in Sinaloa, through the General Hospital of Zone (HGZ) No. 3 of Mazatlán, invites women entitled to give birth to the age of 40, to undergo mammograms for the timely detection of cases of breast cancer.
A mammogram is of great help for the timely detection of possible cases of breast cancer, so the entire female eligible population is invited to come to the hospital to carry out the diagnostic study, the next days 8 and 9 May to the facilities of HGZ No. 3, it was indicated in a bulletin.
Women with risk factors such as a family history of cases of breast cancer from mothers or grandmothers should undergo mammograms from the age of 35 and women without risk factors from the age of 40.
As basic requirements for conducting the diagnostic study, the doctor pointed out, they are to attend properly neat, without applying talcum, moisturizing cream, deodorant, antiperspirant or any chemical substance that could intervene in the result.
In the same way, women who wish to attend are asked to be dressed in two pieces, that is, with a blouse and pants or blouse and skirt, in order to perform the mammogram more comfortably.
The hours of attention will be from 7:00 a.m., so women are requested to attend on time and wear face masks, as well as attend to preventive measures in place, such as keeping a healthy distance and the application of alcoholic gel in order to prevent possible infections of Covid-19.
