Shortly before 1 p.m. this Wednesday, on the Lion d’Or bridge overlooking the urban expressway, between Lille and Mons-en-Barœul, a pedestrian was violently struck by a car. The victim, a 54-year-old Tourquennois, was thrown into the air and fell heavily.
He was taken care of by the firefighters of the Lille-Malus barracks and a Samu team, then hospitalized, seriously injured in the head. Its vital prognosis is engaged.
Dangerous driving in the city
According to witnesses, he was hit by a black car which fled on the VRU to Roubaix. However, a few minutes earlier, a black C3 was seen not far away, running a red light at the corner of Coty and Schuman streets near Mons town hall.
A police patrol tried to control it, but the C3 left for the Golden Lion Bridge, committing numerous offenses in the city center. Due to the danger to other users, the police could not follow her.
The Lille accident brigade is therefore calling for witnesses for anyone who has seen this black C3 registered FM 314 WF, with two people on board, or who has information.
