Context
The City of Chambéry, in partnership with several institutions, is launching a support mission to develop strategies for promoting social life and youth in the large city center. This project aims to respond to successive crises which have weakened social cohesion, particularly among young people. The objective is to unite local actors around collective action to strengthen living together and better meet the needs of residents.
Targeted territorial and public issues
Certain neighborhoods in the large city center, such as Bellevue, Covet, and Faubourg Montmélian, are identified as priorities due to their isolation or rapid transformation. The project aims to improve territorial coverage in terms of social activities (AVS) and to develop actions in underserved areas, while taking into account current issues such as ecological transition and digital inclusion.
Partnerships and methodology
The approach is based on strong collaboration between public institutions, such as the CAF de la Savoie, the Departmental Council, Grand Chambéry and the State. These partners will play a key role in the development of the project, providing a diagnosis of local needs and participating in collective discussions. The mission is also part of the renewal of the Global Territorial Convention (CTG) and the social projects of the social centers planned for 2025.
Goals
- Improve the territorial coverage of social activities services;
- Develop structuring actions in underserved areas;
- Create synergies between the different City services (youth, culture, community life);
- Integrate social projects into the renewal of local strategies to better meet the needs of families and young people.
This collective project aims to build a coherent roadmap, making it possible to unite local stakeholders around concrete actions serving the residents of the large city center.
