The recent situation of the lion, who attracted the attention of citizens after being caught in a harsh environment at a zoo in Gimhae, was transferred to Cheongju Zoo and showed his weight gain.

However, demands for action on other animals left at the zoo are pouring in.
According to the city of Gimhae on the 10th, a lioness is still living in the cage where the lion who was transferred to the Cheongju Zoo through the bulletin board of the city hall’s homepage, ‘Wish the Mayor’, and many other animals are still living in poor conditions, and the animals are moving to other places. Requests to sell and close the zoo are flooding in.

In response, Gimhae City said, “There are still many animals in this zoo, and a lioness is brought in where the male lion left, and complaints are being filed.” I will try my best,” he said.

“We are urging the owner of the animal ownership to make a quick decision and close the facility,” he said.
Previously, Pukyong Zoo opened in 2013.

At that time, there was no ‘Zoos and Aquariums Act’ that stipulated matters necessary for permission and management of zoos and aquariums.

Gimhae City said that Pukyong Zoo, which breeds about 100 animals of 30 species, including lions, black leopards, tigers, and monkeys, indoors and outdoors, has been pointed out over and over again for its animal welfare problems, such as its small area, concrete floor, and prison-type exhibition facilities.
