California suits Giancarlo Stanton and Aaron Judge

As mentioned in other notes, the World Series that begins tomorrow between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the New York Yankees has many ingredients. Giancarlo Stanton and Aaron Judge are a couple of them.

They come from different postseasons. Stanton was the MVP of the Championship Series, while Judge could not perform as everyone expected. However, for this instance he hopes to catch up with his partner.

The confrontation begins at Dodger Stadium and if we review the numbers of the pair of sluggers, it is good news for them. The California venue has been a park in which they have hit well throughout their careers and they intend to continue doing so.

“I’ve always loved playing at Dodger Stadium,” Judge said at a press conference. The statistics confirm it.

In five visits to LA, “The Judge” has had six hits, four of them home runs. driving in five runs and scoring the same amount for a .300 average.

«It will be very fun. I love playing there, its vibe is very electric. It’s also Giancarlo Stanton’s favorite place.” the captain commented with a laugh.

Judge has a great responsibility on his shoulders, given that he is the leader of his people. He has pending issues and will seek to settle them.

For his part, the Bronx Mules’ cleanup hitter feels in Hollywood like he did when Will Smith arrived in Bel Air. In 25 crashes played at Dodger Stadium, “Parmigiancarlo” has flown the fence ten times. In 2015 he hit the fifth longest home run in the Californian fiefdom.

His average is .309, stepping on the plate 18 times and taking home 26 teammates. In addition to having hit nine doubles, he has a 1.086 OPS. Only at Coors Field does he have a better record (1,117) if we take into account having played more than 20 duels.

As a curious and perhaps fun fact, one of Stanton’s last great presentations on the blue field was in the 2022 All-Star Game. In the fourth inning he sent the ball over the wall between left and center against Tony’s deliveries Gonzolin, Dodgers pitcher.
