California State University-Fresno ranked 97th in the state university category in the 2024-2025 U.S. University Rankings published by U.S. News & World Report.
California State University, Fresno is a state university established in 1911 and has 24,585 students. It is a comprehensive university that offers a variety of majors for bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral programs, and this time, it rose 6 places in the overall ranking of American universities compared to last year, proving its academic excellence and quality education.
The University of California offers a variety of majors in six colleges. The College of Business offers accounting, economics, finance, international management, marketing, logistics and supply chain management, and fashion merchandising. Among the science and engineering fields that are STEM majors, the College of Business Administration offers engineering. The college offers civil engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, computer engineering, architecture, and biomedical engineering, and the science and mathematics college offers biology, chemistry, computer science, environmental science, mathematics, and psychology.
California State University is widely known for its College of Health and Human Services, which includes nursing, physical therapy, public health, exercise science, and communication science. Nursing and physical therapy offer doctoral programs, and the College of Agricultural Science and Technology offers agricultural management, zoology, food science, nutritional science, and viticulture, and winemaking became the first degree program in the United States.
Lastly, the College of Arts and Humanities offers undergraduate and graduate programs in art, music, theater, mass communication and journalism, and animation.
To be admitted to California State University, TOEFL and GPA are required, as well as English proficiency sufficient to take classes at an American university. In 2022, in accordance with an agreement with the University of California, the ELITE Language Center of Korea was established in Korea at the University of California, Fresno, providing Korean students with a TOEFL exemption if they complete 6 months of U.S. college preparatory English education and 15 credits of liberal arts. We are operating a program that allows formal admission.
In addition, liberal arts credits taken domestically are recognized as graduation credits from California State University, and up to 12 additional credits can be earned through CLEP, resulting in a maximum of 27 credits, saving preparation time for studying abroad in the United States and saving on study abroad costs.
Meanwhile, the California State University-Fresno Korean Education Institute conducts rolling admissions (January to June), regular admissions (March to August), and late admissions (July to December) every year for high school seniors and graduates. Applicants who are planning to take the exam, retakers, students taking the qualification exam, alternative schools, international schools, and university students can apply. We are recruiting on a first-come, first-served basis through Rolling Base, and inquiries about admission and briefing sessions can be made at the Korean Education Center of the University of California, Fresno, an accredited study abroad center and language school.
