However, what this California hairstylist named Jasmine Policarpo charged one of her clients is mind boggling in every way. Jasmine billed this client the exorbitant sum of $ 1,950 (nearly Rs 1.44 lakhs) for a haircut and coloring session that lasted about 13 hours. Sharing a video of this super expensive hair makeover on her Instagram page, Jasmine revealed that she is charging $ 150 an hour for this session. The clip shows the client’s long, straight brunette hair morphing into a really cool ash blonde curly look. The video was originally shared on TikTok where it went viral with over 1.5 million views, after which Jasmine decided to re-share it on her Instagram page. In the video, Jasmine says she realizes the hairstyle prices are going to drive people crazy.

Reacting to the video, many users criticized Jasmine for her sky-high prices and said this service could easily be performed for $ 300 elsewhere. One of the users noted that this haircut was so expensive that even an iPhone would cost less. However, some users were also impressed with Jasmine’s work and thought her price was justified and praised her for being honest about her price list. “I came here to see what it was about and found there was nothing to complain about. Hours of standing, perfect colors, assistants and 2 days of hard work are definitely worth what you charged. Beautifully done, ”wrote one user in favor of Jasmine.
While we still don’t know whether the prices were justified or not, the transformed hairstyle looked really cool, as long as customers are happy with the price, it really doesn’t matter.
