WATSONVILLE, Calif. – December 6, 2022 – California Giant Berry Farms today announced the appointment of Andrew “Andy” Rice as Vice President of Field Operations and Product Supply, reporting to Chief Executive Officer, Joe Barsi. Andy will play an integral role in the field operations and growth of California Giant in North America, South America and Mexico.
Rice has built her career with industry-leading berry companies with a proven track record of managing large-scale berry production. Most recently, Rice oversaw 4,000 acres of berry production and nearly 5,000 full-time and temporary employees in central and northern California.
“Andy is an exceptional talent who will be instrumental in realizing our vision of providing the highest quality berries in the most sustainable way,” said Joe Barsi, president of California Giant Berry Farms. “His experience and his proven track record assure us that he is the right leader for the California Giant.”
Rice holds an MBA from California Polytechnic University and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Arizona State University. He lives in Arroyo Grande, California with his wife Megan and their four children.
