A Los Angeles firefighter went missing in Rosarito, Mexico, and now friends, family and members of the LAFD will gather Monday to pray for him to return safely.
Frank Aguilar has been on medical leave from the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) since March, and lives part-time in Rosarito. Last Thursday he left his condo to meet someone and never returned, his family said.
His daughters said they rarely go a day without talking to their father.
“We don’t know what we would do without him. It’s crazy that this is happening in the first place, but we really just need you to get back home. Right now ”, said sisters Bella and Anaris Aguilar.
His family filed a missing persons report with Tijuana police, and the FBI is assisting in efforts to find Aguilar. The LAFD also said it was cooperating with law enforcement efforts.
The firefighter was fighting a raging fire in the Bay Area, California, when he was the victim of the unusual robbery.
