California faces extreme winter weather

California is facing extreme winter weather after a powerful storm ripped through that region over the weekend, leaving thousands of homes without power.

The Golden State experiences freezing temperatures and rain, plus the first snowfall in Los Angeles since the 1980s.

Flash flood warnings have been in effect for areas around the city, and roads have been seen inundated throughout the region.

Meteorologists are even warning of potential landslides in certain areas. And the mountains around Los Angeles may also experience up to eight feet of snow.
