Students from the Ciudad de Cali Technical Educational Institution participated in a day of reading the story of Little Red Riding Hood, with a different ending than the one known where the wolf devours the characters.
The objective of creating new narratives of that classic of literature was to lead the students to express their creativity in embroidered pieces of fabric, on which they had to spin the characters of that classic story.
Diana Isabel Caicedo, mediator of the Bibliotec project, explained that the activity was for “motivate them to do critical reading, in addition to reminding them of the importance of brain-body dynamics, applying a traditional craft, which evokes history, knowing that it does not repeat itself, but by knowing it they can transform it into something positive.”

The pieces, spun by the students, were compiled to create a book handmade by the students, which they will later be able to see in one of the city’s public libraries.
José Rojas Durán, one of the participating students, stated: “I like that they are changing the stories for something more beautiful, giving another meaning to the comics as well, so that they are no longer so negative and so those of us who like to read or write do it in a positive way”.
