The stork has come to Calgary – after several miscarriages.
NHL star Elias Lindholm and influencer Annica Englund have had a son.
– It’s impossible to describe, he says via the Calgary Flames channels.
On Sunday evening, the couple announced that they had a son. Via the club’s official channels, Elias Lindholm shares about the experience.
– It is impossible to describe how we feel, it has been a hectic 24 hours. Everyone is doing well and that is the most important thing, he says.
The birth caused the Swede to miss Saturday’s game against the New York Rangers, where his team won after extra time (3–2).
– I tried to follow it as much as I could. I thought I would be able to play, but labor took time. We are very happy now, and all the nurses did a fantastic job. We are very grateful.

Annica Englund has previously been open about their struggle to have children, where the couple suffered three miscarriages.
”After all these years, a thousand tears, losses and pain… it’s finally our turn. Since we were surprised last summer, we have been so afraid of losing this little one. But now we understand that you needed all this time to become as stubborn as mom and dad, because you stayed with us. We can’t bring ourselves to meet this little fighter,” she wrote on Instagram in November.
