In 2019, Calgary Flames assistant general manager Chris Snow was diagnosed with ALS.
Since then, both he and his family have been open about the fight against the disease. Late on Wednesday evening, Swedish time, wife Kelsie Snow came with the news that his condition had greatly deteriorated.
On social media, she announced that the 42-year-old suffered a cardiac arrest.
Three days later came the death notice.
Donated organs
On Saturday, Kelsie Snow announced that her husband had passed away.
“Today we hugged Chris for the last time and said goodbye as he left to give four people the gift of life by donating his kidneys, liver and lungs,” Snow writes on X, formerly Twitter.
“We are deeply saddened and deeply proud. In life and death, Chris never stopped giving. We move forward with his light guiding us”.
