Latvia will be represented by eight athletes in five disciplines.
The composition of the Latvian national team for participation in the European Championship has been approved by the LVS Coaches Commission and the Board.
The head of the team will be LVS general secretary Dmitrijs Milkevičs.
Javelin throwers Līna Mūze, Madara Palameika, Patriks Gailums, Rolands Štrobinder and Gatis Čakš, 400-meter runner Gunta Vaičule, triple jumper Rūta Kate Lasmane and Raivo Saulkēris, who will start in the 20-kilometer walk, will go to Munich.
It has already been reported that Chaksh refused to go to the world championship in the US city of Eugene due to Lyme disease.
Coaches Zigismunds Sirmais, Gints Palameiks, Juris Petrovičs, Mārcis Štrobinders and Edvīns Krūms will go with them.
The European Championship in Munich will take place from August 15 to 21.
