Chairman of PKB Muhaimin Iskandar (Cak Imin) joked about his candidacy for the 2024 election. Cak Imin said that he was currently being secluded because he was worried that the situation would escalate.
Cak Imin made this joke during a cultural speech event at the Joang Building, Central Jakarta, which was broadcast on NU Channel’s YouTube, Friday (11/8/2023). Initially, Cak Imin joked about the remarks delivered by members of the DPR RI from PKB who were also the organizers of the Helmy Faisal Zaini event.
“I heard Mr. Helmy Faisal Zaini’s argument whose argument was read since the days of the activists until he became the DPR. This is the era of the activists until now the talk is the same, it means that this earth has not changed anything. If our new order shouted with this argument, it is relevant that there is a conglomerate, it turns out that today it is relevant what I said earlier was an oligarchy,” said Cak Imin.
“So Mr. Helmy Faisal’s friends were not due to limited arguments, because the context was appropriate to the era,” he added.
When responding to the argument presented by Helmy Faisal, Cak Imin admitted that he was starting to get hot while delivering the speech. It was only then that Cak Imin mentioned the failed nyapres which would make it hot.
“So there was someone who just whispered the argument, not ono liane anyway rec? Ha ha ha. It’s not because there aren’t any others, the context is indeed the same, conglomeration and oligarchy are no different. It’s getting this hot, no sido nyapres nek very hot until, ha ha ha. It has to be limited, it has to be limited,” said Cak Imin, laughing his head off.
Cak Imin then mentioned that he limited his appearance on television interviews. Cak Imin admitted that he was currently being secluded so that the situation would not heat up.
“This is a new challenge, yesterday I was contacted by Rosianna Silalahi, given a forum as long as you like basically on television, I said ‘sorry I’m temporarily unable to talk, I’m being secluded for nothing, because I’m worried about the heat’, this is going too far, you know, the context is there,” he explained.
Further, Cak Imin admits to only attending the Kaesang Pangarep podcast. Cak Imin joked that attending the Kaesang podcast has big implications.
“If the context is hot and goes too far, that’s dangerous, that’s why we can’t attend a lot of it. The only podcast that I attend is the Kaesang Pangarep podcast. The implication is clear, God willing, it’s getting closer, Amen ya rabbal alamin,” he said.
