With the aim of reinforcing the first level of care, the Social Health Security (EsSalud) will begin this month a home campaign for chronic patients, older adults and children with anemia and malnutrition in the province of Cajabamba in the Cajamarca region.
This was announced by the institution on its second day of work in the region’s healthcare network, at CAP I-3 in Cajabamba. “We have provided house-to-house care for chronic patients, with diabetes, hypertension, older adults who cannot move and, above all, children with chronic anemia and severe and moderate malnutrition”EsSalud pointed out.
Patients will receive services in nutrition, psychology, vaccination against various diseases, among others, at their homes, to receive care from health centers in the area.
Projects in Cajabamba and Bambamarca
A plot of almost 8,000 square meters was visited that would be donated by the Municipality of Cajabamba to EsSalud for the construction of a hospital.
“Our current infrastructure is already short and we have the offer of the mayor who is going to donate a 7,500-square-meter piece of land, where we are going to build a II-1 or I-4 hospital and we are going to implement a Center for the Elderly (CAM ) for the benefit of the more than 13,000 policyholders”Social Security noted.
