VALENCIA (VP). The Cajamar Cooperative Group has activated a first special line of expandable financing of 20 million euros to meet the needs of farmers affected by yesterday’s hail storm, which has damaged crops in the regions of Utiel-Requena, Camp de Túria and Camp de Morvedre in Valencia, and the Plana Baixa in Castellón. Vine plantations have been especially affected, with losses that can reach 60% of the harvest.
The directors of the Grupo Cajamar offices in the affected locations, together with the professional team of the Agri-Food Technical Service, are touring the plantations, holding meetings and making the necessary financial resources available to cooperatives and farmers to face the losses suffered.
