Hockey Plus y Hockey Essentials are the projects of the Alcalá Hockey Club that, for another year, they will continue to have the support from the Caja Rural de Jaén Foundation. A collaboration whose main objective is to promote the practice of hockey among boys and girls at risk of social exclusion and among people with disabilities.
The manager of the Caja Rural de Jaén FoundationLuis Jesús García-Lomas, and the president of the Alcalá Hockey ClubJavier Díaz, have shaped the cooperation between the two entities with the signature of the agreement, framed in the call Rural Free Time. “Practicing sports is an opportunity for minors and people with disabilities to acquire healthy lifestyle habits”, García-Lomas has assessed. For his part, Javier Díaz thanked the Caja Rural de Jaén Foundation for its support in “giving shape to these social projects, which are very enriching for the entire club.”
The promotion of hockey among people with disabilities is the main goal of Hockey Plus. This initiative is joined by Hockey Essentials, a program that aims to promote hockey among minors who lack resources and opportunities to practice this sport.
