CAIRO, 12th April / WAM / His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him”, and His Excellency Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, President of the sisterly Arab Republic of Egypt, discussed today the brotherly relations and various paths of cooperation and joint work, and continue to push them forward in order to achieve the mutual interests of the two countries. And their two brothers.
The two sides reviewed – during a session of talks they held at the Ittihadiya Palace in Cairo – a number of issues and files of common concern and the latest developments on the regional and international arenas, and they exchanged views on them.
During the meeting, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan affirmed the joint keenness to continue consultation and coordination between the UAE and brotherly Egypt regarding everything that serves the mutual interests of the two countries and contributes to strengthening stability, security and peace, which is the way to achieve development and prosperity for the peoples of the region..stressing the strength of brotherly relations Which brings the two countries together and the bonds of love, trust and mutual respect that bind them, in addition to interest in advancing these relations to broader horizons that meet their aspirations for development and progress.
For his part, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi welcomed His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to his second country, expressing his pride in the brotherly relations between Egypt and the UAE, their leaderships and their peoples.
His Excellency the Egyptian President held an Iftar banquet in honor of His Highness the Head of State and the accompanying delegation.
The meeting and the banquet were attended by the delegation accompanying His Highness the President of the State, which includes.. His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the State, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Excellency Sheikh Sultan bin Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Advisor to His Highness the President and His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Special Affairs Adviser at the Presidential Court, Ali bin Hammad Al Shamsi, Secretary General of the Supreme National Security Council, and Maryam Khalifa Al Kaabi, UAE Ambassador to Egypt.
On the Egyptian side, they were attended by Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, Sameh Shoukry, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Mohamed Shaker Al-Marqabi, Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy, Dr. Hala Saeed, Minister of Planning and Economic Development, Major General Abbas Kamel, Head of Intelligence, Counselor Ahmed Fahmy, Official Spokesman for the Presidency of the Republic.
His Highness the President of the State left Cairo at a later time, where he was seen off at the airport by His Excellency the Egyptian President and a number of ministers and senior officials.
