What is this film about?
Cairo, January 2011, a few days before the start of the revolution. A young singer is murdered in a room of one of the big hotels in the city. Noureddine, the surly inspector in charge of the investigation, realizes over the course of his investigations that the culprits could well be linked to the close guard of President Mubarak.
Writing and directed by the Swedish-Egyptian Tarik Saleh, Confidential Cairo mixes with great political mastery, corruption and crimes. Through an exciting criminal plot, the director paints an explosive portrait of contemporary Egyptian society.
