A little over eight days ago, the Lotoise association “Bodeguita Don Calvo” launched an online prize pool with the aim of buying food to boost the morale of the nursing staff at the Cahors hospital center. Put online on Paypal, more than a hundred donors have already made themselves known for a total of 2,160 euros collected at this stage. A great success for this solidarity initiative which does not intend to stop there.
A first delivery, yesterday
This Friday, March 20 in the morning, a first delivery of comforting packages was made by members of the association to Cadurcian hospital staff. “In each package distributed, there were tea bags, infusions, coffee, compotes, several kinds of cookies / meringues, fruit juices, strawberries, apples and prunes, all from our local stores and producers (notably the Quercy Oustal) and a total of 25 shells produced by Beziat boulangerie Luzechoise. The Quercy biscuit factory (Gazaud family of Saint-Daunès) also participated in the form of donations of several “detailed” sachets of cookies Sandy Vincent, member of the “Bodeguita Don Calvo. A next delivery of the same type should be made in the course of next week to the nursing staff. More than welcome support at the hospital in Cahors during the Covid epidemic -19 gains ground in the Lot.
