Café ‘t Kruisken sealed after corona violations (Lier)

Café ‘t Kruisken on the Kardinaal Mercierplein in Lier was sealed on Saturday by order of Mayor Frank Boogaerts (N-VA).

“On four different days in June and July, the police found several violations of the corona measures. Among other things, the cafe stayed open too late and no mask was worn. The observations were made in the period before the tightening, so when the catering industry was allowed to remain open until 1am. The café will now remain closed for seven days, ”says Mayor Boogaerts.

Mayor Boogaerts also announces that from this weekend on, the police will issue official reports for those who do not wear a mask. It is an amicable settlement of 250 euros.
