It’s silly season in the emoji world. From now on, you can replenish your emoji squad with 21 emojis on free transfer.
To access the new emoji additions, click on “Settings” -> “General” -> “Software Update” and download the new iOS update 16.4 on your iPhone or iPad.
Among the new emojis are a moose, goose, jellyfish, fan and an emoji old man who seems to have derailed. The latter already feels like a given new favorite for all emoji lovers.
The 16.4 update doesn’t just consist of new emojis. Among the new improvements from Apple is a setting that isolates your voice better from the surrounding noise. A welcome feature for those who do not use headphones.
Here are all the new features in Apple’s new iOS 16.4:
- 21 new animal, hand gesture and object emojis are now available in the emoji keyboard.
- Web app notifications have been added to the home screen.
- Voice isolation for mobile calls emphasizes your voice and blocks out ambient noise.
- The duplicate album in Photos can now detect duplicate photos and videos in a shared iCloud library.
- VoiceOver support for maps in the Weather app.
- Accessibility setting that automatically fades video when flashing lights or strobe effects are detected.
- Communication safety for children allows parents to enable warnings for children when they receive or send images that contain nudity.
- Fixes an issue with Ask to Buy requests from children that might not appear on the parent’s device.
- Fixes issue that caused Matter compatible thermostats to stop responding after pairing with Home.
- Accident detection has been optimized for iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro models.
