Café de Sok in Schijndel will keep its doors closed for the time being after an old-fashioned party on Friday evening. “We have warned the cafe,” says a spokesperson for the municipality of Meierijstad. “The cafe has subsequently decided to keep its doors closed for the time being.” The cafe has announced on social media that they cannot adhere to the one and a half meters and chairs for visitors.
The reason for the warning from the municipality is probably a video that appeared earlier on De Sok’s Instagram account. This showed that it was an old-fashioned party in the catering business. On Saturday morning, those images were removed and on Saturday afternoon the message appeared that cafe de Sok will remain closed for the time being until the one and a half meter rule no longer applies.

The first reactions under the Facebook message show that the removed video from Friday evening was the reason to close the doors. “Shouldn’t you have put that video online,” writes Paul. De Sok then responds with: “We are not that sneaky.”
Spring!
The deleted video shows a DJ cheering the visitors on with: “Three, two, one and jump!” All those present at Café de Sok in Schijndel then go wild. There is no chair or bar stool in sight for the guests, but visitors are hopping. The owner of the cafe could not be reached for comment on Saturday.
Images on the internet never disappear completely and there are also people who copy and save images. In this way the relevant video can still be shown:

Café de Sok made the news earlier because she wanted to travel with a bus with 200 partygoers to Belgium, where the corona rules for the catering industry were more flexible. In the end, that night out was canceled because Belgium tightened up its rules for the catering industry.
other video
It is also not the first time that the café in Schijndel has attracted publicity with a questionable film. More than a year ago, a video was posted on Instagram showing stagediving. A visitor dives into the audience from some height and is received by other visitors and carried through the space by the many hands. This also happened when there were corona rules.
A spokesperson for the municipality of Meierijstad says that it has made agreements with the catering industry about compliance with the corona measures. The municipality takes action as soon as there are excesses.
