The Vice President of Strategic Programming, Christian Asinelli, was in charge of showing this commitment to Mexico at an event entitled ‘Rethinking the Development of Latin America and the Caribbean from Mexico’, a seminar that addresses the economic, social and environmental challenges of the region.
“As a development bank and integrator of Latin America and the Caribbean, we are very interested in supporting Mexico in its proposals,” he said.
Asinelli also stressed that the region faces major challenges in social, economic and infrastructure access areas, but that its potential is key to solving global problems in biodiversity, water, energy and human talent. “We are in a position to help the world,” he said.
At a crucial moment for Latin America and the Caribbean, in which global and regional challenges are intertwined in a complex way, the international seminar stands as an essential platform for rethinking development strategies.
The event will take place from Monday, September 9 to 11 at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (SRE) of Mexico, sponsored by CAF and the Autonomous Metropolitan University (UAM).
