The head of the Valledupar Metropolitan Police, Colonel Alex Durán, He said that this is the biggest criminal act that has happened in the city in recent years. He explains that rangers are suffering from threats and theft, which has increased uncertainty in the area.
He said they are working hand in hand with the rangers, thoroughly reviewing the security devices, such as cameras and communication radios, that they have installed on their farms.
In addition, he said that they are strengthening prevention activities in collaboration with the Federation of Cesar Cattlemen, Fedegan, the main cattlemen’s union in the region.
Colonel Durán said that the situation is even more critical in rural areas, where the presence of criminal groups is becoming more evident.
