Cadillac forced to turn off adaptive headlights on XT6

The LED elements in the crossover headlights can turn after the steering wheel and automatically adjust the range of the light beam, however, for the local market, Cadillac deactivates these functions programmatically. Crossover owners will be able to contact the dealer and reflash the light control unit, returning the headlights to the locked functions. The NHTSA announced back in October 2018 that it would consider amending legislation regarding lighting devices, then, in mid-2019, the department announced that it was working on new rules for lighting technology.
