Cadillac’s new electric drive model Escalade IQ will be able to travel more than 700 kilometers on a single charge.
Cadillac has presented its latest electric drive vehicle – the crossover Escalade IQ, which will arrive on the assembly line in 2024.
The Escalade IQ is built on the same platform as the GMC Hummer EV and is equipped with a 200-kilowatt-hour battery that, according to EPA standards, will allow you to travel 724 km without additional charging.
The electric Escalade has three rows of seats, with the buyer choosing a three-seater sofa or two separate comfort seats in the second row, which in this case will be equipped with a massage function, and passengers will also have multimedia screens and folding tables at their disposal.
The front panel has a “cinema screen” with a diagonal of 55 inches for the needs of the driver and the front passenger, as well as another touch screen for controlling the climate control. The luggage compartment can accommodate 670 liters, another 345 liters of space under the front hood, and the car can tow a trailer weighing up to 3,628 kg.
Escalade IQ is equipped with an air suspension that provides 175 millimeters of ground clearance, but can be optionally increased by 25 millimeters or decreased by 50. There is also a chassis with steerable rear wheels that can turn 10 degrees, allowing you to drive diagonally.
All-wheel drive Escalade IQ is powered by two electric motors with a total maximum power of 761 hp. True, the maximum is only available for a short time, so the driver has “only” 687 hp at his disposal.
It is known that the crossover runs up to a hundred in about 5 seconds, supports fast charging with 800-volt architecture, but when it goes on sale, it will cost at least 130,000 dollars.
