La Cacem (Community Agglomeration Center Martinique), begins its process of autonomy. Via the Odyssi agency, it is preparing to deliver a drinking water treatment station (Chateauboeuf district in Fort-de-France), which will supply some 20,000 households in Lamentin.

Cacem equips itself with a network to supply drinking water.
In the long term, subscribers will be able to see the reduction in untimely cuts, but for the moment what matters in this matter is the gradual detachment of the SME (Société Martiniquaise des eaux), which for several years has been selling drinking water to the cacem for feeding homes in central Martinique (Fort-de-France, Lamentin, Schoelcher and Saint-Joseph).
All the municipalities of Cacem should be able to benefit from this network connection in a few years.
