The municipal fronton of Íscar has been the scene of the final of the Liga de Castilla y León hand ball. The day began with two games at the Sports Technification Center of the Pelota Federation of Castilla y León:
Mohamed and Esnaola beat Galgo VII and Martín by 22 to 18 in a great match of the four. The second game of the morning faced Jorge Sánchez and Marcos del Valle in the specialty of four and a half. Both delighted the public who, for the second time during the League, were able to witness the match. Finally Jorge won by 22 to 16.
THIRD AND FOURTH PLACE
At 12:00 hours the match began for third and fourth place.
Galgo IV and Corredera played against Molina VII and Beobide, who replaced Cabrerizo I with a finger injury that occurred in the semi-finals of the League last week.
The score was favorable to Galgo IV and Corredera in two games to zero, a couple that accompanied the finalists of the League in the third box of the podium.
The score was 10 to 5, 3 to 10 and 5 to 3 for the winners.
RECOGNITION TO THE PUERTAS BAMAR CLUB
Prior to the great final of the League, the City Council of Íscar and the Pelota Federation of Castilla y León, will take the opportunity to carry out an act of recognition to the Puertas Bamar Club, which in 2020 achieved the best results in its history and was the The most awarded Castilla y León club, both nationally and regionally, including the Spanish Short Blade Championship and the Spanish Frontenis Runner-up.
A plaque was presented to the Club and individual trophies were presented to the president, Pedro Martínez, and Guillermo Rabanal and Alfonso Pérez, current national runners-up in frontenis.
FINAL
Everything was ready to host the expected final of the League: Cabrerizo II – Curto against Huerta – Nuevo.
The rhythm imposed by Luis Cabrerizo from the beginning of the match was the key that decided the final in his favor.
The first game was very close, reaching 8 points, ending 10 to 8 in favor of Cabrerizo II – Curto. The second game started the same, until the 3-3 goal, at which point the winning pair separated until the final 10-4.
TROPHY DELIVERY
The trophies ceremony was presided over by the Mayor of Íscar, Luis María Martín, the Councilor for Sports of Íscar, Tomás Martín, and the president of the Pelota Federation of Castilla y León, Roberto Fernández.
With the end of the Castilla y León Pelota League, the finishing touch to a season that, despite the pandemic, the Pelota Federation has carried out all the scheduled events with the exception of the Spanish School Age Championship.
