Cabinet: Which seven bills are presented – What are they about? –

The Council of Ministers is meeting today, Thursday, October 31 at 11:00 a.m., under the leadership of Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, at Megaros Maximos.

The topics of the cabinet meeting are:

– Presentation by the Minister of Labor and Social Security Niki Kerameos of the bill for the incorporation of Directive 2022/2041 for adequate minimum wages in the European Union

-Presentation by the Minister of National Economy and Finance Kostis Hatzidakis of the legislative initiatives: a) Procedure for submitting tax returns, b) New structure of the Independent Public Revenue Authority

-Presentation by the Minister of Foreign Affairs George Gerapetritis of a bill to regulate matters of organization and operation of the ministry

-Presentation by the Minister of National Defence Nikos Dendias and the Deputy Minister Giannis Kefalogiannis bill for regulation of health matters of the Armed Forces.

-Presentation by the Minister of Education, Religion and Sports Kyriakos Pierrakakisthe Minister of Culture Lina Mendoni and the interior minister Theodori Livanio of the legislative initiatives for the School of Performing Arts, the Schools of Higher Artistic Education and the Music Educational Institutions

– Presentation by the Minister of Development Takis Theodorikakos draft law on public procurement award procedures, judicial and pre-trial appeals and the professionalization of the public procurement sector

– Presentation by the Minister of Tourism Olga Kefalogianni and the Deputy Minister of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports Yannis Vroutsis of the funding bills of their ministries.

The rest of the Prime Minister’s program

At 16:00 the Prime Minister will have a meeting with the President of the Republic of Cyprus Nikos Christodoulidisin the Maximos Palace.

At 18:00 Kyriakos Mitsotakis will attend an event co-organized by the presidency of the republic and the Hellenic Parliament entitled “Strengthening democracy. 50 years since the Greek re-ratification of the ECHR and 75 years since the establishment of the Council of Europe”, in Zappeio Megaro.

At 19:00 the prime minister will attend the opening event of the international scientific conference of the “Konstantinos Karamanlis” foundation on the theme “1974-2024: 50 years since the transition to democracy – Democracy in our time”.
