Cabinet wants to delete all corona measures next week | Inland

Sources report this to De Telegraaf. Only the basic rules – washing hands, testing and staying home in case of complaints – will then remain in force.

Sources are still a little wary: the cabinet has again asked the Outbreak Management Team (OMT) for advice about the proposed relaxation. The Netherlands is currently struggling with a high number of infections, which do not (yet) directly translate into high hospital and IC admissions. But the RIVM warned last Tuesday that the infections are increasing among people over 60. That is the group that is more susceptible to a serious course of corona. If the OMT, which will meet on Friday, does not see any major bears in the road, the relaxations will continue.

On Tuesday, the cabinet will make a final decision about canceling the measures. Corona minister Ernst Kuipers will not give a traditional press conference in the evening this time, but will announce the measures during a short explanation on Tuesday afternoon.
