The cabinet wants to largely unlock the Netherlands faster than planned, starting June 30. The maximum group size at home is then eight people, more guests are allowed in restaurants (up to 100 people) and sports competitions are allowed again. Sources report this to the NOS.
The relaxation concerns step 5 in the previously announced road map of the cabinet. The condition is that the number of infections does not increase too much in the coming period. Step 3 will take effect from June 5, as was previously announced. Step 4 was already planned for June 30.
In step 5, the catering industry may remain open until midnight and theaters, museums and cinemas may allow more visitors. There will also be more room for access tests at events.
The basic rules continue to apply, such as keeping one and a half meters away, staying home with health problems and the mouth cap obligation.
