Cabinet of Ministers Allocates 120 Million Hryvnias for Drinking Water in Nikolaev

The Cabinet of Ministers allocated 120 million hryvnias to provide Nikolaev with drinking water. It will be fed along the bed of the Ingulets River.

“The first decision that was made today at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers is the allocation of UAH 120 million to the State Agency for Water Resources for the sustainable provision of residents of Nikolaev with drinking water,” he wrote.

How will water be supplied

Water will be supplied along the bed of the Ingulets River in a special mode of operation. According to Shmyhal, the project will achieve the required drinking water quality indicators and return its supply to the city.

As of June 2, in Nikolaev there was no centralized water supply for the second day. Therefore, residents were given water from wells. This is not the first time Nikolaev has been left without water. The occupiers have interrupted the Kherson-Dnepr water conduit, so the residents of the city have to buy drinking water.
