Cabinet lifts entry ban for business travelers

A week earlier, the entry ban for top athletes was lifted. The government also intends to do this for professionals from the cultural and creative sector, journalists and researchers, provided that their journey is socially valuable. No date is yet known for them.

“Due to the major negative impact, the social and economic importance and the long duration of the entry ban, the Council of Ministers has decided to allow exceptions for specific categories to the entry ban, such as […] people from the business world, ”said the national government.

It is good news for airlines, for which business travelers are an important source of income on intercontinental flights. The cabinet will still draw up conditions to clarify the requirements for such a business trip.

For business travelers and the other groups mentioned above, the urgent advice to go into quarantine after arrival is no longer required.
