Cabinet extends tax deferral | Inland

State Secretary Vijlbrief (Finance) writes this in a letter to the House of Representatives. Entrepreneurs had already been granted a three-month extension for the payment of wage, income, profit and turnover tax (VAT).

In addition, Vijlbrief adds: “The gambling tax, insurance tax, landlord levy, environmental taxes (EB / ODE, coal tax, waste tax, tap water tax), excise duty (mineral oils, alcohol and tobacco), consumption tax of non-alcoholic drinks and comparable taxes in the Caribbean Netherlands. ”

Procrastination

There will also be a postponement for the payment of energy tax and the storage of renewable energy (ODE) for April, May and June. Energy companies do not have to charge these until October. This measure should, for example, help the severely affected floriculture.

It will also become easier to request a delay of more than three months. Entrepreneurs with less than € 20,000 in debt only need to send documentary evidence that their turnover has fallen “significantly” compared to the months before the crisis. Those who are more indebted still have to send a statement from an accountant.

Dividend

What Vijlbrief does not want to make an exception for is paying the dividend tax. Paying dividends only weakens the financial position of companies. “I hereby repeat the government’s appeal to companies not to distribute dividends for the time being,” added the state secretary.

File file also comes with a solution for the so-called g-account. This is a blocked account with which companies normally only pay wage tax and VAT to the tax authorities. This mainly happens in the temporary employment sector and construction. These accounts can now be unlocked for surpluses and companies can withdraw an amount equal to the tax payment for which they have been granted a deferment.
