“There is no stretch in society”, the cabinet always emphasizes, but several hospitals have now had to postpone planned treatments.
OMT advice
On Friday, the cabinet was updated on the latest advice from the Outbreak Management Team, which met on Thursday. All kinds of corona rules were discussed in the Catshuis.
Mandating 1.5 meters away and introducing the corona pass to gain access to the workplace, which Mayor Hubert Bruls advocated on Sunday, are not obvious.

These measures require a change in the law, which would take weeks. However, keeping 1.5 meters away may become an ‘urgent advice’. In addition, people may soon have to show corona proof in more places.
It is also being thought that the advice to work from home as much as possible will be taken back from the stable and the Dutch may be asked to wear a mouth cap in more places. Incidentally, the cabinet also wants to find out which rules could possibly count on support in the House of Representatives.
Press conference
Measures that only affect the unvaccinated are no longer excluded for the cabinet, but will probably meet with resistance in parliament.
Tomorrow there will be another press conference by outgoing Prime Minister Mark Rutte and outgoing ‘corona minister’ Hugo de Jonge about the new measures.
