Cabaret Music of the First Decades: A Concert with Mezzo-Soprano and Pianist

Cabaret music from the first decades of the 20th century is addressed by the mezzo-soprano and the pianist in the cycle curated by Martin Joseph.

On Thursday, November 16, an unusual and fascinating concert will be presented in the World of Music series, curated by Martin Joseph.

The singer Claudia Godoy and the pianist Jorge Pepi, soloists as admirable in Schubert or Chopin as in avant-garde music, will perform cabaret music from the first decades of the 20th century. Among the chosen composers are Francis Poulenc, Kurt Weill. George Gershwin, Cécile Chaminade and, perhaps surprisingly, Arnold Schoenberg.

The concert will take place at 8:30 p.m. at Thelonious, Bombero Núñez 336, Bellavista, with tickets for $4,000.
