L’Canadian Automobile Association (CAA) announces that it will now advise clients wishing to explore what the market can offer in life and health insurance. Its division in Quebec, CAA-Québec, follows this deployment closely, learned the Insurance portal.
The new company, called CAA Club Group Advisory Services, employs five advisors licensed to sell life, health, disability, critical illness and accident insurance in Ontario. Once well on track – in a few months – the group will also offer additional health and dental insurance.
CAA is a nationwide association that currently has over 2 million members in Ontario alone. Dwayne Williams, director of the CAA Club Group Advisory Services, said the new company, which will serve members and non-members alike, was launched in Ontario because CAA already operates in that province.
“We have a good perception of the market there, and it is in this market that we are authorized to prospect,” he says. By expanding in scope, the CAA Club Group Advisory Services will seek to develop new markets. However, we are focusing on Ontario for the time being. “
He adds that advisors won’t just sell CAA products. “We have been offering life insurance for over 25 years and will continue to offer the product that people could previously afford online. Now we are moving on to something slightly different: we are part of the customer journey from start to finish, ”he says.
“CAA advisors can sell anything. The CAA does not underwrite life and health insurance products as such, adds Mr. Williams. We have created partnerships with a number of large, reputable Canadian life insurance companies which give us access to hundreds of distinct life and health insurance solutions. “
This innovation, he says, is something the company has wanted to do for several years. “We made it our mission to keep Ontarians safe. We have achieved it in our other lines of business, and we are now focusing on life insurance. It is in our eyes a natural extension of our mission. “
In Quebec ?
Joined by the Insurance portal, CAA-Quebec says it is closely monitoring what is being done with their Ontario colleagues.
“All CAA clubs in Canada are closely following this CAA-CSO pilot project which has been in preparation for a long time. We believe that this way of doing things really fits in our DNA to offer support and advice. At the moment we are giving advice, but only on the products we offer. We also offer general advice on life insurance on our website, ”said his spokesperson. Nicolas Ryan.
