Minister Byun responded in a report on the National Assembly’s National Land, Infrastructure and Transport Commission on the 22nd, when Rep. Song Eon-seok, the power of the people, pointed out the issue of the recent increase in the sale price of houses under the sale price limit system.
Rep. Song asked, “The government said that a few years ago, the pre-sale price of the installment system would be 5-10% lower than the high pre-sale price screening price of the Housing and Urban Guarantee Corporation (HUG), but did that actually happen?”
At the same time, Congressman Song gave the example of the One Bailey apartment in Seocho-gu, Seoul. HUG’s high pre-sale price for this apartment was set at 48,892 million won per pyeong, but since then, the pre-sale price limit has been higher than this at 55.66 million won.
In response, Minister Byun said, “We are sorry for this point, and we will consider internally improving the system.”
When Congressman Song asked, “Do you have any thoughts of expressing your regrets for this,” Minister Byun said, “It happened because the powdering system evaluated the land price as an appraised value, but it was a pity that the original purpose was damaged.” I am thinking about it, and I will actively review plans to improve the system.”
Rep. Song said, “This is because of the actualization of the official price,” and Minister Byeon explained, “This is because the land price has risen a lot, and it has nothing to do with the actualization of the official price.”
